Vizcaya’s Annual Halloween Sundowner Party: one of the most traditional parties in Miami, which even has a costume contest. Here, people over 21 can enter, drink, dance and have fun while also enjoying five special bars, with craft beers and everything in between. Tickets are not usually cheap, but the night is unforgettable. It usually happens on the Halloween date itself.

Mardi Gras Casino. Halloween Costume Party and Contest: Dress up in your scariest or most creative costume and go to the Mardi Gras Casino. Enjoy a special performance by the headless dancers of the New Century Dance Company. You must be a member of the Players Club to participate.

Halloween Fright Night: Geared towards young and old (ages 15 and older), this event features Dr. Wilde, a live band and DJ at the Zombie Lounge and Plaza of Torment. Blood wine, beer and tasty bites will be available for purchase. Party attire is the costume.

Parties for families with children:

“A Spooky Symphony” presented by The Children’s Trust: The date of this event varies from year to year, but usually includes musical performances in a free concert. Concert highlights include a multimedia presentation. Children are encouraged to dress up in their best Halloween costumes to enhance the supernatural experience.

Not So Scary Haunted House at Miami Children’s Museum: On certain days of October, at the Children’s Museum, there is a children’s event with clowns, Zombie babies, pirates, a Dino cemetery, hay bales and a pumpkin patch, sweets and activities like face painting make this one of the best options. All with scary sound effects and actors hiding around every corner.

Spooky Zoo Nights Halloween: At Zoo Miami, this family after-hours event includes admission to Dr. Creepy Wilde, spooky train rides, carousel rides and chilling storytelling. Treats and touring street theater will add excitement to the event.

Haunted Houses in Miami:

House of Horror Haunted Carnival: Located on the Miami International Mall, this house is huge and is an experience that has been going on for over 30 years.

Dr. Wilde’s Creepy House: From mid-October to the end of the month, at Zoo Miami, there is a huge haunted house with live actors, cockroaches, cats, and lots of surprises!

House of Horror Amusement Park: Also from mid-October to early November, this house on the Miami International Mall offers unlimited rides in one area, admission to the circus, concerts, and entry to the Haunted House (except for children with
ages 6 and under).
