The Ultra Festival(UMF) is an outdoor electronic music show, which takes place annually in March, in Miami. It takes place alongside the annual Winter Music Conference(WMC) and the Miami Music Week (MMW). After the two-year break due to the pandemic, the music is finally back at Bayfront Park in Miami. The electronic music show is likely to draw 55,000 fans, who are ready to party in South Florida.
A little of History
Russell Faibisch, Alex Omes, and Bruce Braxton founded the UMF at the beginning of 1999. The whole show lasted a single day, with performances by Rabbit in the Moon and DJ Baby Anne. The first edition, the event was held in South Beach, in Beach Miami Florida. Then, in 2007 it went up to two days and three days in 2011. In 2013 it reached a record of 155,000 attendees for the first time in history, being two consecutive weekends.
However, the festival came back to the old format of a weekend, in 2014, from March 28 to 30. The pre-selling tickets usually go on sale online and sell out in a matter of minutes. The first festival was held from 1999 to 2000 in South Beach, Miami. Although in 2001 it came to the Bayfront Park, which lies downtown Miami. The 2020 edition of the festival was called off due to the pandemic of COVID-19.
