The Miami-Dade Public Library System, through its branches, offers several events in March. Its Miami Beach regional branch will host a Meet-and-Greet every Thursday in March, featuring a role-play with a famous woman from history, including Jane Goodall, Rosalind Franklin and Sophie Scholl. At the Northeast branch Dade-Aventura, Martina Mathisen will present a solo performance of The Six Wives of Henry VIII on March 3rd. They are also hosting film screenings at several locations including A League of Their Own in Miami Beach on March 10th and a biographical photo of Amelia Earhart, at the North Shore branch on March 25. Women’s day watching the play “A Doll’s House, Part 2”
Henrik Ibsen’s groundbreaking 1879 play “A Doll’s House” is set 15 years after the heroine Nora leaves her husband and children in search of her own freedom and happiness. The play, which assesses the consequences of Nora’s decision, will run through March 19 at the theater at the Biltmore Hotel.
