The causeway gets you within a mile in twelve minutes. Then there is no exit, no kerb and a meter that runs until two in the morning — and that last mile is the entire job.

In short

A roadshow booking retains one vehicle and one chauffeur for the whole day rather than quoting each leg. Send the stop list; dispatch returns a sequence, a pickup point off the main strip for each stop and a flat hourly rate in under 10 minutes. The chauffeur collects you in South Beach and routes over the northern causeway to North Miami Avenue, because the expressway has no direct ramp into the district.

Twelve Easy Minutes and One Hard Mile

Wynwood is bounded by expressways on two sides and connects to neither directly. Everyone arrives the same way, and the difficulty is entirely in what happens after you get there.

  • No direct expressway ramp exists. From the Beach the approach is the northern causeway, then south on North Miami Avenue into the district.
  • The main strip does not hold a car. One lane each way through the core, constant pedestrian crossing and permanent double-parking.
  • Meters run until two in the morning. Enforcement here is not a business-hours affair, and the maximum stay is short.

A Beach group usually comes here in the evening

Delegations based on the Beach rarely spend a working morning in Wynwood. They come across for dinner, a gallery opening or a client event, which puts the whole journey in the hours when the district is at its most crowded and least drivable.

So we plan this route backwards from the return rather than forwards from the departure. It is the opposite of how a daytime schedule gets built.

Leaving is harder than arriving

Getting in at seven is easy. Getting six people out at half eleven, from a street with no kerb and a crowd on it, is the part that goes wrong.

The pickup corner is agreed before you leave the hotel, and the chauffeur is on it before the group comes out. Nothing about that can be arranged from inside a restaurant.

The hotel end has its own queue

South Beach porte-cocheres run at capacity on an evening, and a vehicle waiting for a group that is running ten minutes late is a vehicle being moved on by a valet.

For an evening departure we agree a nearby holding point and a call time rather than assuming the hotel forecourt will absorb the wait.

The nights the strip stops working entirely

Wynwood’s disruptions are more frequent than most districts because one of them repeats every month.

  • Art Walk, the second Saturday of every month. The whole main corridor; the single heaviest routine evening for ground transport.
  • October, the warehouse venue. A two-day festival takes NW 23rd Street and the surrounding blocks to permit control.
  • Miami Art Week, end of November into December. Warehouse fairs across the district, overlapping the Design District peak.

On those dates we set the pickup outside the affected blocks and confirm it with the group before the evening starts. A car cannot be summoned into a closed street, so the plan has to exist beforehand.

Why an Evening Crossing Is Booked, Not Requested

The case for holding the vehicle on this route has nothing to do with the driving. It is about the hour at which you will need it and how many other people need one then.

Peak demand is exactly when you are leaving

A group leaving Wynwood between eleven and one is asking for a car at the busiest moment of the district’s week, alongside everyone else on the same street.

A retained vehicle is not in that market. It is parked two minutes away with your name on the assignment, and the price was agreed in the afternoon.

A group of eight cannot split across three cars at midnight

Per-ride bookings fragment a party. On a working evening that is an inconvenience; with clients in the group it undoes the point of hosting them.

One vehicle, one chauffeur, everyone leaves together. That is most of what people are actually buying on this route.

Fleet and Cabin

Wynwood’s streets and its metered kerbs make the smaller vehicles the practical choice for most days. Sprinter Van, Executive SUV and Luxury Sedan run off the same dispatch board, so switching is a note rather than a new quote.

Vehicle Passengers Luggage Best suited for
Luxury Sedan Up to 3 2 large, 2 carry-on One or two principals across a mixed tower-and-gallery day
Executive SUV Up to 6 5 large Team carrying boards, samples and materials between stops
Sprinter Van Up to 12 12 large Delegation moving together; pickups planned off the main strip

Send the headcount and the stop list — dispatch sizes the vehicle, sets the pickup points off the strip and returns the price in under 10 minutes.

Cabins run with bottled water, charging for both connector types and climate set before pickup. Where a stop falls on an event street, the pickup point moves and you are told which corner before the day starts.

Why Mundi

Operational Certainty

Six things that decide whether a Wynwood meeting day holds its schedule.

The causeway approach, since the expressway has no ramp here

Pickup points set off the main strip, not on it

Staging across the tracks, where the garage capacity actually is

Boards, samples and luggage stay in the cabin between stops

Flat hourly rate in writing beforehand — no surge, no meter

Dispatch staffed 24/7 while the day is running

Logistics FAQ

Questions We Get Most

Why does the route come in from the causeway rather than the expressway?

Because there is no direct exit from the expressway into Wynwood. From the Beach the approach is the northern causeway and then south on North Miami Avenue. Knowing that in advance is the difference between a clean arrival and a loop through Midtown.

We are going for dinner, not meetings. Does that change the booking?

It changes the emphasis rather than the structure. An evening crossing is planned backwards from the return, because leaving a crowded street at half eleven is the difficult part and the arrival at seven is not. The corner is agreed before you leave the hotel.

What about Art Walk night?

It is the one date we ask about first. Art Walk falls on the second Saturday of every month and takes the whole corridor, so the pickup moves outside the affected blocks and the return window widens. Tell us the date and we will say whether it lands on one.

Can the vehicle wait outside our hotel while we get ready?

Not usually, and it is better that it does not try. Beach porte-cocheres run at capacity in the evening and a waiting car gets moved on. We hold nearby and come forward on a call time, which is faster than it sounds.
